Imperial Star Destroyer title pack

To celebrate the Chimaera announcement, here are some additional title cards for your Imperial-class Star Destroyers.

Note that these are untested as yet. Updated versions will follow after some playtesting. If you try these out in your games, you are encouraged to provide feedback and comments.

  1. Like them! I totally want to play the “Bellicose”, the “Nemesis” and the “Dauntless” now.
    Here’s one of my own:

    “Arbitrator” (8pts)

When attacking at long range, you may exhaust this card to exchange up to two red dice for blue dice.

    1. Maybe this as an improved version:
      ISD “Arbitrator” (8pts)

When attacking at long range, you may exhaust this card to exchange up to two red dice for blue dice. When attacking at short range, you may exhaust this card to exchange up to two blue dice for black dice.

      1. That’s a pretty neat idea, which could combo well with certain upgrades. It would just need a little tidying up to ensure the timing is crystal clear:

“While attacking at long range, you may exhaust this card and discard up to 2 red attack dice to add that many blue dice to your attack pool. While attacking at short range, you may exhaust this card and discard up to 2 blue attack dice to add that many black dice to your attack pool.”

The downside, of course, is that the added verbosity might make it difficult to fit into a card.

I could see a slightly simpler (but somewhat more powerful) version as follows: “While attacking, you may exhaust this card and discard up to 2 attack dice to add that many blue dice to your attack pool.” This effectively turns it into a kind of Dual Turbolaser Turrets.

By the way, I note that as written it could also be used against squadrons. This would be absurdly powerful if it affected all targets in arc, but as it’s an exhaust effect it’s not a big deal.

      2. …or of course you could go the Sato route and replace the dice *before* rolling:

“While attacking at long range, before rolling dice, you may exhaust this card to replace up to 2 red dice in your attack pool with an equal number of blue dice. While attacking at short range, before rolling dice, you may exhaust this card to replace up to 2 blue dice in your attack pool with an equal number of black dice.”

        or:

“While attacking, before rolling dice, you may exhaust this card to replace up to 2 dice in your attack pool with an equal number of blue dice.” (this would be much less powerful than the DTT-like alternative, and therefore would have a lower point cost)
